Pattern & Imperfection (2014) is a silent stop-motion study of perfect geometric shapes rendered imperfect (in having been cut out of paper by hand) and their shaky, human movement through a series of choreographed patterns. The dancing shapes—lines, circles, and chevrons—move across two planes, interacting with one another. Focus shifts and shadow play emerges.
